Skincare has been a subject of much debate since its invention. Why is it that products which claim to be made for the skin claim to treat almost everything under the sun? Is the industry creating fake beauty to sell more products or are they providing us with a better way to care for our skin?

From an ethical and scientific perspective, we should never have such vast product ranges. I remember one evening when my daughter woke me in the middle of the night with painful popping sounds on her head. I was worried about the stitches and what the doctor would tell me as I found no sign of an infection so I looked down at my daughter’s scalp to find a rash.

Skincare is constantly changing and you will see different ingredients for the products you use now compared to the ones that were available ten years ago. The ingredient database is long and the list of harmful chemicals used in skincare is large.

Skincare is something we do not think about until the problems arise. A lot of money is spent on research and development to make sure there is a solution for whatever problem arises. They don’t makeup what products do, they make money!

Everyone has different skin and reacts differently to treatments. With skincare, you are not just treating your body but your mind as well. Many of the ingredients in skincare products such as perfumes, fragrances, and preservatives have a negative impact on our mood.

It may seem strange but there are some chemical substances which can cause reactions to people of all ages. If you have a reaction to certain ingredients then you should be aware of this. What this means is that if you have an allergic reaction you will need to stop using the product immediately and seek medical advice.

The amount of chemicals used in skincare should be carefully monitored. All of the ingredients should be known to the consumer. Companies need to advertise their ingredients clearly on their websites and present them to consumers. Research should be conducted to make sure these companies can supply these products safely.

There is a lot of hype around skincare products but it seems that even when there is no real evidence there is still a backlash when a new type of treatment comes out. If all the active ingredients in the world cannot help your skin then why would anyone spend a fortune on beauty products? It is said that we have to be distracted by such trivial matters as the cost of beauty products and the quality of life for millions of people across the world.

Many products do contain harmful chemical agents that come from some of the same countries and companies we associate with poor quality products. We cannot rule out the possibility that the claims of big companies of cancer cures, miracle creams, and other such nonsense is simply marketing. Their aim is to sell skincare, beauty, and other products.

The industry is growing but there are only so many skincare companies that can deliver. It is good that they are taking the issue seriously and making sure there is information available to make the right decisions for their customers. Every single skincare company must come up with a policy to ensure that customers know about the ingredients they are buying.

Consumers need to know how harmful the ingredients are and what the chances are of allergic reactions from using skincare products. Products should have labels stating what is included and what is not. Consumers need to know where the ingredients come from and what the dangers are.
